✧☆Spellbound Magic Patch☆✧

✧☆Hi and welcome to my new patch!☆✧

This time I experimented with calligraphy technique on felt, that is almost a new material for me, and choose a title of a song that is very dear to me. ☆✧

I wrote the word on paper first, playing with the brush pen's different strokes and shapes, and when the result was pretty enough I transferred it on felt and then embroidered each shape. ☆✧

Cut the felt into a rounder shape and the finished it off with the cutest pink trim I could find.☆✧

I think it looks lovely on denim!☆✧

But it can also spice up a basic beanie!☆✧

🕸Black Wednesday Patch! 🕸

🕸Hello!
I was inspired by the nonsense of
consumerist celebrations like the black friday to create an unimpressed black Wednesday patch. Check it out!

🕸In this patch Wednesday is portrayed in her usual folded arms pose, black 'Wednesday' dress and icy gaze, probably plotting. Under her figure there's a writing saying: 'black wednesday'.

🕸For this patch I used regular embroidery and sewing thread. Her braids are tridimensional and realized through several strands of embroidery thread braided together and then stitched onto the patch. I left the outline of her hair white to make it stand out against the black background.

✨ #2016bestnine ✨

Hello! ✨
As I did last year, here's the best nine pics of 2016 on Instagram... no surprise it's all pink! ^_^

Despite the cuteness it was a very stressful and frustrating year, I almost never had the time and energy to create and that made me negative and angry multiple times.

I hope to recollect the energies during this wintertime and put all my effort into new ideas for the future✨

❀ Hills & Lake Hike ❀

🌿Hi!
Sunny days are getting very rare here in this time of the year, so today me and my partner were lucky enough to go for a hike up in the hills and then down to the lake. I took some pics whenever I remembered to.

Right behind my house there is a path climbing onto the mountains that surround the lake. This time it was pretty tough for me to climb but also very satifying once we reached the end of it.

The weather was so nice that we continued to walk until we found a village we didn't know.

Through the walk we met a lot of cute plants and trees...🌲

...and also swans, dogs, rabbits, sheeps, fish and... a pony!

It was so relaxing and delightful! I hope we can repeat this hike soon and maybe have a pic-nic under the trees ^_^

✨Always Resist Grasshopper Patch

✨Hi all,
http://etsy.me/2fHNuVR

This is my newest patch, it pictures an unusual grasshopper with colorful pink and green wings.
When stressful days are over (even if more are about to come), they often leave behind some will to create something beautiful and delicate like this. As a message to me and you living on this fucked up planet there's a writing saying 'always resist'. Resist to the hate, the ignorance, the prejudice and every rotten thing we humans managed to create from the beginning of our time here. I hope we will learn one day to protect and take care of each other. In the meantime, resist.

♥ Magic Wrist Pincushion! ♥

Hi!

Here's a cute wrist pincushion I made the other day from an old embroidery. It looks like a magical girl tool but, since sewing for me is magic, it IS indeed a magical tool.

There was this unfinished embroidery on denim made a while a go lying around. So I cut around it leaving the seam allowance. For the back I used a silver faux leather material and mirrored the heart shape. Filled it with wool scraps and sewn all around it, folding over the denim as I went. For the wrist band I measured out my wrist circumference and cut elastic to this length. Inserted the elastic in a tube I made from sparkly silver fabric and sewn a loop. Then attached to the back of the heart. Finished all off with pink lace trim and voilà!

Making this was a perfect stress releiver, I've been so busy with dayjob and custom orders that I really needed to make something cute for myself. This will hopefully encourage me to get back to sewing more often

Here are more pics of the magic pincushion:

♡ Ethereal Fish Patch ♡

♡Hello!

I finally completed a project that I wanted to do from a long time.
Day job has kept me really busy so this embroidery is the result of those spare moments of productive relax :)
There it is:

I'm really happy with how it looks even though it took me a long time to complete all the various coloring through tiny tiny stitches. I have to thank my mom that kindly gave me these gorgeous color-changing threads, especially the yellow to pink and pink to white ones that stole my heart.

I also tried to make the scales through sequins, it was a good idea but the ones that I have were too too sparkly for this project and took away from the delicate blend of colors. So I decided to realize them with holographic thread in fly stitch.

Here are some in progress pics:

 Enjoy! ♡

♡ DIY Mini Weaving Loom ♡

Hello!

Since I discovered a super easy way to make cute wall hangings using a diy weaving loom I've been filling my work room walls with them, it's also a good way to use some scrap yarn as well as little branches I've picked up while hiking. I thought it was nice to share here the way I made my loom and here it is (so easy I am ashamed):

Materials:
♡wooden frame (I used a brand new canvas frame so there's still the plastic around it)
some pushpins
yard (or twine)
♡scotch tape
a small branch
♡scissors

Flip the frame over and pin the pushpins on the smaller wooden sides at equal distance (if you want your loom to be bulletproof you can use some nails and a hammer), then wrap the yarn (you can also use twine) around the first pin and make a couple of tight knots. Pull the yarn around the first pin of the opposite row of pins, and then again up and around the second pin of the other row and so on until the last pin (it's really easier done than said). Knot the yarn tight to the last pin and... take a moment to admire your work, you made yourself a loom!
Now grab some cute yarn and you can start your weave by knotting one end of it on the loom yarn at at least 1 inch far from the pins. Wrap the other end with scotch tape to make it easier to go through the loom. Go over and under the loop yarn to create a beautiful simple weave, of course you can create a million different patterns and designs, even using different colors/materials.
When your work is complete you can simply pull gently the loops out of the pins or just remove the pins.
To hang my work I just slipped a branch through all the loops of one side and hang it with some more yarn and a nail. On the lower end of it I cut open the loops and knotted them.

These are two of my hangings using different sized looms:

✿ Seeds of Empathy

✿ Hello ✿

<Seeds of Empathy feed the plants of Humanity>

These words came to my head all at once and I decided to make a patch out of them.
Empathy is that thing that you have to cultivate (like little seeds of a plant) in order to live with humanity. It makes you resonate with others and understand them with no prejudice or egoism.

I pictured this in my mind like a cute tiny seed that little by little grows out in a beautiful plant in bloom.

Enjoy! ✿

✩☾✧ Moon Phases Patch

✩Hello✧
Recently I made a bunch of new patches based on a sketch I made a while ago based off the pocket mirror I made for myself last year. Here it is (or I should say, they are):

As you can see I made three versions of it, having fun with color-changing thread, fabric paint and sequins. I really love this design itself and also that they turned out exactly how I pictured them in my mind (my bf says that the moons spell the word 'docco' ahah, does this word even exist? I love the idea though). Here are some work in progress pics:

Enjoy!✩☾✧
