Keeping up with the doilies!

Heeeey♡

Here's an update on my latest works, two thrifted, upcycled, hand embroidered doilies:

Strawberry Squirrel Doily is showing a heart-cheeked Squirrel, holding a big juicy strawberry and surrounded by strawberry flowers and leaves.

To make this piece I was inspired by my own plant of strawberry who is still alive after a very a cold and snowy winter.

Circled A with Roses Doily is the first doily I made and decided to experiment with something traditional, which is not exactly my style. It's fun to try out something new!

Never did something with this colour scheme before. But it actually matched our red furniture and that was fun. Don't worry though: I haven't abandoned my usual pink, there's a pink thread interwining on the A's circle :)

Drawing tiny tiny stars...

Drawing new business cards to toss into envelopes with every order. I wanted to update the castle design but apparently I can't really break the habit!

 

Drawing all the sparkles looks like a very tedious job but it's relaxing and great during telephone calls or boring tv shows. Did I mention that silence is so very unbearable to me? Always need some kind of background talking or music but I digress!

Need to do some test prints of these few designs and then decide which one will be the staple for 2018.

☘ Sudden Walk! ☘

Yesterday it was such a sunny day that we just had to pull over the car and stop for stroll by the lake. We discovered a library by the beach, such a dream!

Made a ton of funny pictures as well as more beautiful ones, like these:

 And, lastly, a big 360° pic, like a good ol' tourist. You can spot our shadows eheh.

☼Summer days by the sea + birthday♥

♥Hello there,
 it's been a while!♥

Last month I spent a couple of weeks at my home town, which is a pretty seaside town, for my birthday! Had the chance to swim and sunbathe, play with my little niece and spend time with my family. But even if there were busy days the embroidery never stops and here are some pics of the works in progress during this awesome weeks!

 

Started this new 'My Dear Diary' design for a 90s toy themed patch and took it with me the first day I went to the sea.

Also, there a new cheeky bunny in progress:

The sea was irresistible!

 And, for my birthday, my parents made me this incredibly cute cake! Absolutely my style, it was awesome to celebrate my shop during my party, this year is it's 3rd birthday and I can't believe it, it seems like yesterday that I opened it! Here's the cake!

A walk through the peatlands☆✧

Hi!

Currently sitting home with the flu, sneezing and watching the wonderful sunny day outside the window... at least there's the perfect light for embroidering!
Before getting sick, a couple weeks ago we decided to skip the bus and walked our way to the shops and groceries through the near peatlands. It was a beautiful sunny day like today, here for some pics:

As I did last year, here's the best nine pics of 2016 on Instagram... no surprise it's all pink! ^_^

Despite the cuteness it was a very stressful and frustrating year, I almost never had the time and energy to create and that made me negative and angry multiple times.

I hope to recollect the energies during this wintertime and put all my effort into new ideas for the future✨

❀ Hills & Lake Hike ❀

🌿Hi!
Sunny days are getting very rare here in this time of the year, so today me and my partner were lucky enough to go for a hike up in the hills and then down to the lake. I took some pics whenever I remembered to.

 Right behind my house there is a path climbing onto the mountains that surround the lake. This time it was pretty tough for me to climb but also very satifying once we reached the end of it.

The weather was so nice that we continued to walk until we found a village we didn't know.

 Through the walk we met a lot of cute plants and trees...🌲

 ...and also swans, dogs, rabbits, sheeps, fish and... a pony!

 

It was so relaxing and delightful! I hope we can repeat this hike soon and maybe have a pic-nic under the trees ^_^
