A Prodigious Banner...

 Hello and... welcome to a banner for the first time!

This year my lil shop is turning 6 years old, I thought it was the right time to celebrate and step things up a bit. I'm always down to learn new stuff by making it, so here's a new entry for machine sewing!

It's made out of a black patterned denim from other projects (you can kinda see the pattern on the lower left angle), the edges are finished with a pink satin bias tape and some big ass ruffled satin ribbon. The lettering is made out of thick white felt. I embellished the edges with ribbon roses and beads, might add some more in the future... you can't have enough of them!

Nightly Bat Patches

 Hello and welcome to a new patch(es)!

 

 

This little bat linocut block has been a staple in my creations lately. With this hand carved block i've printed several thank you notes to go with every order as well as decoration for my packaging. I think I'm developing more of an aesthetic sense lately, can't really explain it but whatever it is, this lil bat is part of it.

 

 

Back to the patches! They were printed on pale pink thin cotton with my linoprint kit from Essdee and black fabric ink. The print was heat set through the iron and is water resistant, of course it requires hand washing only! I kept some for me that I immediately sewn onto my summer dresses/shorts.

They look cool right? I'm thinking about using the bat as a repeating pattern on fabric and then sew something with it.... we'll see

Arise Unicorn Patch

Hello there and welcome to a new patch!

 I went through my sketchbook and pulled out this little design, always wanted to make a unicorn but never tried. I was afraid of my style being too cartoonish for the delicate features... went on and did it anyway! 

Of course I added a ribbon and a saying! This time Amebix came to help me.

For her hair I wanted to give the curls a retro-groovy appeareance, kind of an 80s Barbie artwork, something like this:

 

 I used some pearlescent thread through the forehead, the cheekbones and the hair, unfortunately it doesn't traslate well on pictures...

 

Drawing tiny tiny stars...

Drawing new business cards to toss into envelopes with every order. I wanted to update the castle design but apparently I can't really break the habit!

 

Drawing all the sparkles looks like a very tedious job but it's relaxing and great during telephone calls or boring tv shows. Did I mention that silence is so very unbearable to me? Always need some kind of background talking or music but I digress!

Need to do some test prints of these few designs and then decide which one will be the staple for 2018.

As I did last year, here's the best nine pics of 2016 on Instagram... no surprise it's all pink! ^_^

Despite the cuteness it was a very stressful and frustrating year, I almost never had the time and energy to create and that made me negative and angry multiple times.

I hope to recollect the energies during this wintertime and put all my effort into new ideas for the future✨

✨Always Resist Grasshopper Patch

✨Hi all,

This is my newest patch, it pictures an unusual grasshopper with colorful pink and green wings.
When stressful days are over (even if more are about to come), they often leave behind some will to create something beautiful and delicate like this. As a message to me and you living on this fucked up planet there's a writing saying 'always resist'. Resist to the hate, the ignorance, the prejudice and every rotten thing we humans managed to create from the beginning of our time here. I hope we will learn one day to protect and take care of each other. In the meantime, resist.

♡ Ethereal Fish Patch ♡

♡Hello!

I finally completed a project that I wanted to do from a long time.
Day job has kept me really busy so this embroidery is the result of those spare moments of productive relax :)
There it is:

I'm really happy with how it looks even though it took me a long time to complete all the various coloring through tiny tiny stitches. I have to thank my mom that kindly gave me these gorgeous color-changing threads, especially the yellow to pink and pink to white ones that stole my heart.

I also tried to make the scales through sequins, it was a good idea but the ones that I have were too too sparkly for this project and took away from the delicate blend of colors. So I decided to realize them with holographic thread in fly stitch.

Recently I made a bunch of new patches based on a sketch I made a while ago based off the pocket mirror I made for myself last year. Here it is (or I should say, they are):

As you can see I made three versions of it, having fun with color-changing thread, fabric paint and sequins. I really love this design itself and also that they turned out exactly how I pictured them in my mind (my bf says that the moons spell the word 'docco' ahah, does this word even exist? I love the idea though). Here are some work in progress pics:

Hello! Here's my best nine 2015 pics on Instagram. A very predictable huge amount of pink.
It's been a wonderful year full of new things for me, the dream of spreading my works all over the world has come true (but I still have LOTS to improve and learn) and it's amazing. Cute Heart Tote Bag ♡

This super cute and durable tote is been in my dreams for so long now that I'm so happy it is finally available in my shop!

It features ProdigiousTrash A-Heart hand embroidered logo in pink and black with some sparkly vintage sequins and a shiny baby pink ribbon. The outside material is vintage floral cotton and the lining comes in canvas.
This tote has a boxed bottom for extra space and a useful zippered pocket on the inside, plus a little ProdigiousTrash hand embroidered tag.
